Partial Discharge Sensor for Switchgear
(AE & TEV composite sensor)
|Insulation defects caused by prolonged operation of power facilities including switchboards, power cables, and GIS are some of the main causes of power plant failure. Insulation defects result in partial discharge, which causes the insulation to deteriorate, resulting in power outage.
ISAAC-PDS-AETEV-01 is a combination of Transient Earth Voltage (TEV) sensor and the Acoustic Emissions (AE) sensor, which individually detects and monitors the transient ground voltage produced on the metal surface due to ultrasonic signals and electromagnetic waves generated during partial discharge.
|Application & HMI|
|• Accurate partial discharge measurements and status diagnostics in real time using composite sensors.
• Reduce installation costs and time by allowing it to be installed while power is running.
• Convenient maintenance by attaching it to the surface of the power plant.
